Forget Justice League, there’s a cooler team of DC characters beating them to the big screen. Check out Jai Courtney steal the show in the first official trailer for Suicide Squad, unless you count the Comic Con footage.
CW is quickly becoming the DC comics TV network and while CBS is definitely able to pump more money into Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow looks like it has a much more interesting premise. Unfortunately the lower budget is really obvious when you look at the ambitious special effects.
Special effects are something both Arrow and Flash have struggled with, but this show seems to use way more and it looks really bad. Legends of Tomorrow is still a year out, so it is possible that the effects shown are not fully finished. It’s a really ambitious project so let’s all hope that they pull it off.
For anyone that saw the Black Widow spoof on SNL and thought “I really want to see that movie” Supergirl could be the show for you.
Unfortunate similarities with the SNL skit aside, the effects are impressive. Check it out.
Okay so there is a lot of stuff packed into this trailer, but will the movie feel as crowded?
The last time we had a Spider-Man movie with this many villains it led to the entire franchise being rebooted, so it’s a little surprising to see so many crammed into this sequel. Except this time it looks like there may be a good plan behind it and it was mentioned in the first film.
Oscorp seems to be at the centre of all things superpower related. Peter Parker was bitten by one of their genetically altered spiders and now it looks like the company may be responsible for not only these villains, but future ones as well.
In the above still from the trailer you can see what looks like robotic wings and tentacles, which will likely belong to Vulture and Doctor Octopus in future Spider-Man films. This level of planning makes up for a lot of the worries about the overcrowded roster of villains as it seems like Harry Osborn, who will be the Green Goblin, is sort of a ring leader with Rhino and Electro almost as henchmen.
Though it’s a lot more organised than the three random villains from the third Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie, it is a little disappointing that Jamie Fox’s Electro doesn’t seem to be the main bad guy despite being at the centre of the ad campaign.
Dane Dehaan’s version of Harry Osborn has apparently skipped his dad to take on the title, which could mean that this time it will be the father avenging his son rather than the other way around. The big question is which one will kill Gwen Stacy?
There have been a number of other interesting sightings in the trailer. The above picture may or may not be Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat nothing is really confirmed about who Felicity Jones is playing.
Then there is this strange part that is a little confusing. If Shailene Woodley was cut from the film then why is she still in the trailer? Maybe she’ll just be ‘girl who almost gets crushed by car’ rather than the much more well known character Mary Jane Watson.

First impressions seem to indicate that the upcoming Disney villain movie won’t disappoint and Angelina Jolie does a great job delivering some very quotable lines, but will this reverse fairy tale attract live up to the hype? Check out the trailer below.
Surprisingly little special effects for an X-Men trailer and yet it still looks great.
Seeing the old and new X-Men cast in the same movie is exciting in the way that watching the Avengers finally come together was, but it is a bit of a shame that most of the cast won’t get to interact with each other.
Arguably the best part of the X-Men franchise has been the relationship between Magneto and Professor X and it looks like this relationship will be close to the centre of the film.
Personally, I find it hard not to wonder if the X-Men tampering with the past will erase the events of The Last Stand. After all, it would revive some fan favourite characters.

Having personally thought that the first Captain America movie was the weakest of Marvel Phase one, I wasn’t particularly excited about seeing this trailer. Now that I’ve watched it I think that it’s a bit of a mixed bag.
Starting with the positive, the suit is so much better than the one in the Avengers and they seem to be addressing Captain America’s reluctance to enter the modern world. That could potentially be really interesting, plus there’s the action which seems to hold up to the usual Marvel standards.
Even though it seems like a smart move to keep Captain America heavily linked with SHIELD, the whole thing just undermines the TV series. Let’s face it, the effects on the show are pretty bad and this movie seems like it’s just going to make the significant difference in budgets even more obvious. It doesn’t make sense, why make a SHIELD TV show if Captain America 2 was basically going to be a SHIELD movie.
Then there’s the Winter Soldier who actually has to sit down and put make up around his eyes before he can go out and cause havoc…
Back on the bright side, it looks like we’re going to get lots more Black Widow and that’s always a plus.

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming sequel to Anchorman.
Can Scary Movie be funny without Anna Faris and Regina Hall? Well a lot of people would argue that it hasn’t been funny in a long time anyway, so let’s just ignore the fact that it’s basically Ashley Tisdale and Erica Ash doing bad Cindy and Brenda impressions.
The first trailer for Scary Movie 5 shows that it will have the same level of sophisticated humour as the previous instalments, with guys getting hit with falling pans and heading crotch first into a door. However, it seems more like one of those really bad Scary Movie spinoffs than an actual sequel, which may have something to do with losing the lead actresses.
Despite rumours, it appears that Final Destination will not be the centre of the parody this time around. Instead the focus is on Paranormal Activity and Black Swan. The plot follows two friends as they try to dance ballet and one of them has a baby and lives in a haunted house because a witch sent a demon to haunt her possibly because she’s a ballet dancer, yeah it’s a bit all over the place.
If you’re a fan of well thought out, clever and well-structured comedy them you probably were never planning on seeing this film anyway, but if you like movie parodies, overacting and a third thing then you now have plans for the 19th of April when the film hits cinemas.
What do you think? Are you disappointed to see Cindy and Brenda leave the franchise? Do you like Ashley Tisdale and Erica Ash better? Will you be going to see this movie? Let me know by voting and leaving a comment below.
