If you thought that Jeepers Creepers 2 getting a sequel was surprising then prepare for an even bigger shock as a sequel to the 1946 Christmas classic It’s a wonderful Life may be on the way.
According to Variety, the movie, which will be called It’s a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story, is expected to hit cinemas in time for Christmas 2015.
The film will be a collaboration between Star Partners and Hummingbird Productions and will star Karolyn Grimes who played Zulu, George Bailey’s daughter, in the original.
The story will focus on George Bailey Jr, grandson of the original lead character, who is shown what the world would be like without him by Zulu who is now an angel.
Though it’s not exactly a remake, the plot is so similar to the original that it might as well be. It’s hard to imagine a modern version of this classic tale being able to live up to the original, so let’s just be optimistic and hope that it doesn’t ruin the first one.
Looks like the rumours were false and Star Partners and Hummingbird Productions don’t own the rights and therefore can’t actually make the sequel.

Robert Pattinson goes from an animal eating vampire to a circus veterinarian as he attempts to take his career in a more serious direction. Will his plan work or will he always be haunted by Edward Cullen?
Water for Elephants started out as a book by Sara Gruen. It was Gruen’s third book and was initially turned down by her publisher. Since publication, in 2006, it has become a bestseller and can be read in 44 different languages. The story is narrated by Jacob Jankowski, a 90 something year old man living in a nursing home. Jacob reminisces about his life as veterinarian in a circus. While working at the circus, he met, and fell in love with, a married woman named Marlena, as if that wasn’t bad enough, her husband is a paranoid schizophrenic.
The movie follows the same plot and stars Robert Pattinson as Jacob, Reese Witherspoon as Marlena and Christoph Waltz as August, Marlena’s Husband. Both critics and movie goers have criticised the chemistry, or lack of chemistry, between Pattinson and Witherspoon. It seems that the 11 year age gap may have taken a toll on their performances, which, to be honest, isn’t surprising. Besides that there isn’t much criticism to be said, but chemistry between characters can make or break a movie. It really makes me wonder if, when casting for the movie, they were looking for chemistry or just big names.
Though not my type of movie, I have to say that, from the trailer, the movie looks very well put together. If you’re an animal lover you should be warned that there are some scenes of animal cruelty. The cruelty toward animals was also present in the book, because it was very common in circuses back then, but no animals were actually hurt it’s all just Hollywood magic.
What do you think? Does this movie help Robert Pattinson become a more serious actor? Is the book better or worse than the movie? Did you think there was chemistry between Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson? Let me know by voting and leaving a comment below. Also don’t forget to subscribe.
If you liked Kung Fu Panda then you’ll be glad to hear that Kung Fu Panda 2 will be kicking ass in a cinema near you this May or June, depending on where you’re from; May 26th for Americans, June 10th for the UK and the 17th of June for the Irish. As with the first, the movie has an all star cast, but you won’t notice until you see the credits. The only one you’ll really notice is Jack Black, who plays Po the Dragon Warrior aka Kung Fu Panda.
The film shows Po, now a master of Kung Fu, fight alongside the Furious Five to protect the Valley from a new enemy, one that could potentially erase Kung Fu from existence. The new evil is Lord Shen, an albino peacock. The film will also explore Po’s mysterious past, which probably means we’re going to find out (who the baby daddy) who’s Po’s biological father.
The original trailer was short and just showed Po talking to, and having a staring contest with, the camera. An updated version was released, with featured scenes from the actual movie. The trailer looks great. This movie looks better than the first, which was pretty entertaining. I know I give Jack Black a lot of slack, but I genuinely do like him especially in movies, like this, were he has a chance to try something different.
A game based on the movie is scheduled to come out on the 24th of May in the US. Let’s hope it does as good as the first game, which got great reviews from critics. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii.

Although no one enjoys real hangovers, the movie was hugely successful. Success on this scale could only lead to one thing, a sequel. The Hangover part 2 will be released, in the US, on the 26th of May and the 27th of May in Europe. That means there’s just 95/96 waiting days left, so in preparation lets all go out and steal a tiger.
Like the first one, the story takes place before a wedding, but this time its Stu’s wedding. The gang, all played by the same actors as the first, travel to Bangkok for the wedding and instead of a bachelor party Stu decides to go with the safer option, a pre-wedding brunch. Somehow things still manage to get out of hand and the boys get themselves into even more unforgettable trouble, then forget it, then remember it.
Mike Tyson is set to return as himself. Cameos will also be made by Liam Neeson and, former US president, Bill Clinton. Mel Gibson was set to appear in the movie as a, possibly deranged, tattoo artist; however he was replaced by Neeson after crew reportedly objected to his being cast. Liam Neeson will do a better job anyway; after all he is a Jedi. Just imagine all the drunken fun you can have with a Lightsaber.
Update the 1st of April
A new trailer has been released for the Hangover Part 2 so I thought I’d put it up. The trailer looks great and proves that getting so drunk that you can’t remember what you did is funny no matter how many times you do it, listen up kids that there is a life lesson.
Vote and comment or prepare to suffer from a real life hangover, and there won’t be monkeys.
