Despite what you may have thought from the finale of the first season, Lucy Lawless will be returning for season two of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which has suitably been titled Spartacus: Vengeance.
At the end of season one, Lawless’s character, Lucretia, was stabbed in the stomach by Crixus and left for dead. However, it appears that the wound was not fatal and she will be making a full recovery. Can’t help but think that a trained killer like Crixus really should have notice he hadn’t cut deep enough to kill her. Lawless, though happy to be returning, does not expect it to last ‘I’m in season two, but I probably won’t be in season three… I fully expect to die’.
Other characters may also be reappearing this season. Rumour is that Gannicus will also be coming back. I’d bet money this rumour is true, they introduced him for a reason and it wasn’t just to have him ride off into the sunset, plus historically he fought in the Third Servile War, which is the slave rebellion that started at the end of Blood and Sand. Also Oenomaus is in the rebellion, so Gannicus has to join or he’d look like a jerk.
Who would you like to see return? What do you want to happen in season two? Personally I want Lucretia to kick Ilithyia for locking the door. Don’t forget to vote and leave a comment below.
First just want to say that this was a big day for the Irish, I hope everyone that could vote voted.
After hearing comments Charlie Sheen made on The Alex Jones Show, the show’s producer has ceased making the show. Sheen insulted him on air, saying things like he’s not as evolved. This outburst was the last straw for producers.
Production stopped yesterday and since then Sheen has made various comments. Some are on the verge of being anti-Semitic. Sheen then went on to talk about his upcoming HBO show, the only problem is HBO had no idea they were making said show, so don’t hold your breath for that one.
Is this the end of Two and a Half Men? Does anyone even care at this point? Let me know by voting and leaving a comment below.
Plus size and proud fashion icon, Beth Ditto has announced that she will be releasing a solo album in the New Year. Ditto’s, three piece band, Gossip (formerly The Gossip) were formed in 1999 and first became popular in 2006 with their single Standing in the Way of Control. It is unknown whether or not the band is planning on reforming after a while, or if Ditto will be going it alone from now on.
To start off her solo career, she will be releasing a four track EP (Extended Play- this is a CD that has too much music to be a single, but not enough to qualify as an album) in January 2011. Deconstruction Records are producing her EP.
If nothing else, it should be original and out there. Being out there is part of what Ditto is known for. She doesn’t use deodorant or shave her underarms and, my personal favourite, doctors have issued a health warning because she’s made fat look cool (normalised obesity). Personally I think she’s amazing, but I can see why others don’t share my views.
On the other hand, her solo career does mean the end of gossip, at least for a while. Comment and vote below to let me know what you think.
