Irish movie geeks are finally getting the chance to get their geek on, as this weekend Cineworld, in Dublin, is holding Movie Fest.
Movie Fest is like a mini Comic-Con. There will be exclusive trailers and movie premieres shown, plus footage from the actual Comic-Con. The festival goes on for two days, but tickets for each day are sold separately and cost €22.50. It may seem like a lot, but for that price you get to watch Comic-Con footage and three films that aren’t even out yet, plus previews for upcoming releases.
Each day a mystery film will be shown. Guests will not find out what the film is until they are at the festival. On top of that, two other movies will premiere; The new Fright Night and The Change Up on Saturday and Cowboys and Aliens and 30 Minutes or less on Sunday. Throughout the day prizes and goody bags will be given to guests and there is said to be plenty of other surprises in store.
Four minute clips of upcoming movies, like The Amazing Spider-man, Tintin and Battleship will also be shown. If you’re a movie buff who dreams of going to Comic-Con, but live in Ireland, then this is your chance. Tickets are available now, but may not last long so don’t miss your chance.
