I Am Number Four

Today I finally passed my driving test, so watch out other road users no more L plates to let you know I’m coming.

I Am Number Four is the latest book to be transformed into a movie, and this time it’s happening in 3 dimensions.  The book series, which now only consists of one book, is proposed to have six parts, the second set to release in August.  Whether or not the movies will follow suit depends, as always, on the box office.

The story is about nine aliens that are sent to Earth, each with a guardian, because they are a special breed and must be saved from their doomed planet.  These aliens, from the planet Lorien, are numbered from one to nine.  All nine develop powers, called Legacies, as they get older.  Most of their powers are not the same, except telekinesis, which is common to them all.  Not surprisingly, Number Four, who goes by the name John Smith, is the main character.  The aliens are being hunted by other aliens called the Mogadorians.  The numbers can only die in sequence and each time one dies the others get a scar on their arm.  Numbers one to three were killed, three dies in the opening chapter, so now the Mogadorians are after Number four.

Confused?  Come on Harry Potter in one paragraph would have been way worse.

Number four is played by Alex Pettyfer and Diana Agron, who you may remember as Quinn from Glee, portrays his love interest Sarah Hart.  It’s strange, in the trailer a bunch of cool things are happening, but I’m just not interested.  I can’t put my finger on it, but something seems to be missing.  Bare in mind, I’m basing this on the trailer alone, the actually movie may be amazing.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but it won’t be a long wait as the movie comes out on the 23rd of Febuary.

Leave a comment and vote to prevent aliens taking over the world.
