Being Human US Airs Tonight

The American version of Being Human airs tonight, but I won’t be watching.  No it’s not a boycott, though it probably should be.  Despite having the Syfy channel, if you’re not living in the United States you will have to wait another while to watch this new series.

Although the wait will probably drive a fan crazy, it is important that people realise that this will not be the same show.  American humour is about as subtle as a train in the middle of an ice-cream shop.  Today I read a review, written by a journalist who got an early screening.  He said that the heart of the show was gone, it was a sitcom, it felt as if the characters didn’t care about each other, the acting was horrible and the house they live in is like something out of the Addams family, which is the opposite of discrete.  Come on these people are trying to act human and they live in a place that screams ‘look at us we’re monsters and life is hard, but don’t worry we’ll make it work’.

Since I haven’t seen the show yet I can’t judge, but it isn’t looking good for this series.  They’ve only shot three episodes so far and if it does really badly they might not be making many more.  If you live in America be sure to comment below and tell me what you think of the show, also if you’re a diehard fan, of the original series, let me know how you feel about it being remade.
