With all the talk of death and accidental thumb removal, I start thinking of a question I was asked years ago, by a TV ad if I remember correctly. The question was; what’s the soundtrack to your life? It just stood out, because I don’t usually get asked meaningful questions by an ad, unless you count the ‘who put the fig in the fig roll?’ thing.
Today I will answer both of these questions, starting with the fig rolls. Fig rolls are made by machines. These machines have two tubes, one with fig mix, and the other with biscuit mix. The tube with the fix mix is inside the tube with the biscuit mix. Therefore when they pump out, the fig ends up inside the biscuit. The biscuit is then flattened and baked. And that is how the fig gets in the fig roll; it’s put there by machines.
Now for soundtrack question, basically what I’m asking is what song would you play to represent your life right now? It’s a tough question, but there are thousands of options to choose from. If none of them fit then write your own song.
I’m going to pick Stop and Stare by One Republic. To be honest, picking a song was pretty hard and I might think of ten better ones later. The way I interpret the song is, that it’s about trying to hold on to a part of your life that you know you have to leave, but anytime you think you’ve moved on you just end up back were you started. Like poems, songs can mean thousands of things. Okay now it’s your turn. What song represents your life at the moment? Don’t be embarrassed, just go for it, no one but you can stand in your way. Oh my god that was gold, I hope I remember it next time one of my friends is feeling down.
