We all have weird habits or pastimes. Don’t we? Okay well I do at least, so I did some research and I’m not alone. In fact there are lots of people that do stranger things than I do, but before I talk about them I’m going to reveal some of my own freakiness. When eating I start with my least favourite food and gradually work my way towards the tastiest (this seems to be common), I split skittles into colour groups and eat them in other of preference (all purples must be eaten last and at the same time), I can solve a rubix cube in about three minutes, I have to sleep against a wall, if I go asleep before three in the morning I feel like I lost part of my day (I get up between seven and half nine everyday of the week), and lots more.
Now onto some of the other freaks in the world, there’s one that never uses the rubber on the end of a pencil, has a giant collection of movie tickets, eats the crust of sandwiches before touching the inside and cannot wear shoes in the house. Another can’t buy second hand books, must walk on the side of the road furthest from the traffic and clicks their fingers whenever they hear a song they like. A third person buys items well in advance of using them because they’re cheap, all picture frames, in the same area, must match and be hung in a line same applies with anything that matches e.g. sets of mugs or candles, and if she finds clothes she likes she buys a few of them for when she wears them out.
Okay so I’m not the only freak out there, there’s even one that reads magazines from back to front. In fact the world is so full of freaks that BBC three has actually made a show called Freak Like Me. The show is pretty good it airs on Mondays but repeats at various times during the week. Each episode follows different people as they explain some of there stranger habits.
Now for the important question; how are you a freak? What strange things do you do? Let me know and we can unite as an army and attack the norms, or we could just laugh at each other and ourselves. Whichever works better for you guys.
